I don't think any of Harrington's recommendations have been carried out as yet, which begs the question when will they be implemented given that the government has accepted almost all of them?

It is absolutely absurd that none of the recommendations it would appear, are to be in force prior to the wholesale migration of IB claimants to ESA. Grayling said that they would be introduced gradually, but how long is that timescale expected to continue? Furthermore, that in itself would cause even more gross unfairness, with the already much maligned and heavily criticised WCA, as claimants who were being reassessed first would be placed at a distinct disadvantage.

In my opinion, I believe the government are perfectly happy with the WCA in its current form, and would be content to pay lip service to the Harrington report if they thought there was a chance that they could get away with it.

Isn't Harrington doing another study this year? Or did I dream that one up?

Somebody has to be commissioned to carry out an independent review. I just hope it's somebody else who actually understands ESA.
