Refused DLA again.

I applied for DLA as I have fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, IBS, severe migraine, scoliosis and the resultant problems with care and mobility. My claim pack was ordered in November10 and posted back in December10, however due to the problems with the mail they didn't receive my pack until 3/2/11. Today I received a letter advising me I had no award for either care or mobility, the decision was taken on 18/2/11 fifteen days after they received it. They have taken the decision based on a medical on 14/4/10 which I can't remember and also the medical I had for ESA on 11/10/10 which resulted in me being put in the WRAG group. It is really starting to wear me down but I am not giving up on this, I am going to call to find out which medical I had on 14/4/10 then start the appeal process again!! Thank goodness I found this site at least I am not alone and the support is invaluable. Like Robert the Bruce said "if at first you don't succeed......"

Hi, really sorry to hear your news. You sound like a fighter and you will get there in the end with that spirit!

Deep breath... and start again! My friend took 5 years before she got DLA; daunting but worth the fight.

Thanks for that, it did get me down but I am not giving in, I will keep appealing and keep applying until I get what I am due, hope it is sooner rather than later
