ELA stopped while in my hospital bed!

I was laying in a hospital bed when I opened a letter from esa advising that that I have been downgraded to 12 from 15 points and am considered to be capable to work and that my allowace had been stopped wef 18th Feb. I had just had a back operation and have just got out today after 18 days. Can't imagine what their faces will be like when I turn up at the Job centre to apply for job seekers allowance! I don't see how I can qualify for that either... because I am not able to work! All being well I will be at some stage but its going to be quite a while yet!

I hope you'll be complaining to your MP about this. Why did they downgrade you, was it after a medical?

H Malcom, I would contact you MP to let him/her know what a farce all this ESA etc is like and what is happening to the sick and disabled. Best Wishes. PS or you could contact the Daily Mail that should be interesting.

Make a fresh claim immediately as your condition as got worse as well as appealing the old one.

Write to your MP and complain about the teatment you have recieved from ATOS.

This is just the story the BBC should be investigating and the Gaurdian as well.

Yet again this shows how flawed the system is.
