medical reports and non medical statements was created by bisley
I am suffering from information overload. I suffer from both physical and mental health difficulties.
I intend to sumit medical reports and non-medical statements with my esa questionnaire once I have received it on the review of my Incapacity Benefit claim this year.
Your guide advises taking the descriptors along with me when I ask for a medical report. I have read your October Guide with the descriptors in and also note that a revised Esa test is to start at the end of March. Does this mean that the descriptors in the October guide are now out of date? I am due to see a health professional in the next few weeks and am unsure what to take with me.
I depend a lot on my mother for help. If I obtain a statement from her, can this be put before a Tribunal? She is hard of hearing and could not possibly take part in the proceedings.

Yes the ESA medical tests are being updated, however, a final version of the new ESA50 form has not been published, as a result we are waiting for it to be released before we update our documentation.
The new tests are available at the following site.
www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2011/228/made/data.pdf
You need to look at the sections titled Part 1 and Part 2.

The DWP plan to send out the new forms from next Monday (14th March) so you will probably be assessed under the new WCA, which is yet to be passed into law.
Unfortunately the DWP have kept everybody in the dark as to the contents of the new form, which will naturally make things difficult for claimants and welfare advisers to prepare for the new test.
