Hello
Here to ask for some help and advice again.
On Saturday I received a letter from JCP/DWP to say that I was not eligible to be placed in the support group. On the letter it says that they wiil send everything to the tribunals service who will contact me regarding what will happend next.
I know I qualify for the support group due to continence issues, there is a supporting letter in the documents from my GP confirming this.
Can anybody tell me what happens next when the paperwork is forwarded and if there is anything I need to do?
Thanks for your help

Hi
I've just had a look at the appeals section and I'm not sure what parts I need to read.
I've already appealed and I wasn't expecting them to make a decision on the paperwork alone, but I'm not sure they have because it says the are now forwarding everything to the tribunal service.
I'm trying to find out what this means. Can anybody help please?
Thanks

When you lodge an appeal, the DWP will carry out what is called a Reconsideration of your claim, this means that a Decision Maker will review all of the information again plus what you may have included ion your GL24 form.
They will either overturn the original Decision, or as they have in your case, uphold it, in which case they forward it to the Tribunal Service.
Hope this explains it better.

Hi
Okay, so this means the appeal is still in progress and I may have to attend a tribunal now. Is this right?
If so I'll contact my local DIAL office and find out what to do next.
Thanks
