how to get a medical report upheld? was created by Jox
I have requested a copy of the atos report done for me esa claim where i scored 12 points and was told i could walk over 200 meters despite informing them i cant walk any distance at all.
Im pretty sure im not going to be happy with the medical report, when i get it back what can i do to argue it so it can not be used in the future?

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

The obvious question to ask is have you appealed the adverse ESA decision?
If so, you can argue in a submission to the appeal tribunal and also by attending the tribunal in person, and proceed to discredit the ESA disability analyst's report. Evidence directly from yourself would of course be helpful, but if you can secure any additional medical evidence, that will further enhance your chances of winning an appeal.

Could this be mobilise rather than walk 200m? Is the imaginary wheelchair now being used? Just some thoughts. As unable to walk at all and 200+ m are poles apart.

I'm pretty sure that Jox was assessed using the old tests, and therefore "mobilise" is not relevant.Could this be mobilise rather than walk 200m? Is the imaginary wheelchair now being used? Just some thoughts. As unable to walk at all and 200+ m are poles apart.

yes i was assesed using the old tests, i have appealed the esa decision, and requested a copy of the report, after getting the descion stating i was fit for work i sent in 2 reports from my gp and orthopedic consultant who both state in their reports that i am in pain at all times when walking.
I told the health care so called proffesional that i was in constant pain when walking and that i could not bare any weight on my hip without sever pain i also stated this in my esa50, so when i recived their letter stating i can walk over 200 meters i was understandably surprised!
i have sent of my gl24 along with a letter stating why i disagree pointing out both my gp and orthepedic constulats reports state im in pain at all times when walking and that my ortheopedic consultants report states it is likey that i will need a hip replacement, does that sound like somebody who could walk 200 meteres? i dont think so!
