i joined this site to help my daughter

i have actually joined this site to help my daughter, (the dwp, and any benefits sections have a letter written by me, and signed by my daughter), for me to take over for her, i need help desperatly, my daughter, suzanne has been disallowed IB again, she was allowed it again after the last appeal, but then we had a welfare rights lady with us, but they dont do it anymore, so i am at a loss as to what to do, (im no expert), is it at all possible u could help me??, to help her, she is 28 yrs old, and have suffered thyroidism since she was 21, also with graves disease, have had 3 eye operations, and not too successfull, she had a thyroid operation when she was 21yrs old, the problem we have is that her levels cannot b controlled, she is on thyroxin,heart tablets, as her heart rate is excessive, eye drops to use at night to stop her eyes from sticking, (she still cant shut the right eye properly)she was on antideppressants for anxiety attacks, which are very severe, but cannot take the meds for that, as they make her feel worse, she has had diazapam instead, she gets severe bouts of anger, confusion, she can b bowel and water works incontinent,(the atos doc said it was because she was on special slimming tablets), but she has been like this for 7 yrs on and off, depending on her levels, because she has graves disease, she has celulitus in both legs, they swell very badly, and this makes it very hard for her to walk, she has chronic optic migraines, among other things, she does have a 4yr old daughter, and i thank god for her, as she keeps her mums head together, most times, but there are times she has to get away to b on her own, she cant answer her mobile if she doesnt know who it it, it puts her straight into a panic, i just cannot see how a person can assess my daughter for 45 minutes, and tell her she,s fit enough for work, no one in their right mind would employ my daughter even if she could work, as her eyes could b damaged so easilly, please please, is there any way u can help us, or give us some advice, she has been told now that the tribunal is sometime in september, i look forward to hearing from u, thank u , a very stressed mum, jackie,

I understand that it is very difficult to get the assistance of welfare rights officers now. You can try some of the services listed here .

There is also advice on how to prepare an appeal in the members' area.

Although it is well known that you have a better chance of succeeding with an appeal if represented, my colleague Jim who is a former DLA tribunal member has often said that the majority of successful appeals are won not by paper evidence, but by what the appellant has to say to the tribunal. So even if you are unable to obtain representation there is still every chance of a successful appeal.

As a matter of interest, has your daughter failed a PCA assessment for IB, or has she been migrated to ESA and failed the WCA for ESA?

hi derek, she has failed the PCA, this is the 3rd time, but it has always been given back to her, after the long drawn out sessioin of forms, and going to the tribunal, she is very stressed anyway, im sorry, when i wrote to u,i thought that u could help me, could u tell me how other people get the help then please, i dont understand now, as i was led to believe u could help, perhaps it was my misunderstanding, any help or advice u could give, i would greatly appreciate it, but this time i really dont know where to start, i am ill myself, and am trying to help my darling daughter,
