My husband had an op for bowel cancer last October and started a 6 month course of 'precautionary' chemo in January. He made a claim for DLA in March which has just been refused, despite supporting letters from his Oncologist and GP. Is it worth appealing this decision? I ask this as he will shortly finish the chemo and should hopefully start to get back on his feet - we have been told that full recovery could take anything up to a year, but he is hoping to return to work next month. Any advice would be appreciated.
