Just wanted to share some good news in respect of ESA. I received my award today and have been placed in the support group without a medical, which is something I was dreading. My application ending up being a 20 page manual in addition to the 20 page application form. I included as much evidence as I could including photographic evidence as well as letters from people who know me and how my condition affects my daily life. I gave copies to my GP and directly to the decision maker. The key to a successful outcome is tell them and show them as much as you can even if you think its irrelevant. i included documentation that was over 3 yrs old to the present day. The forms took me over 6 weeks to complete as I kept going back to it thinking how I could improve it or had I missed something out which invariably you do because when your life is consumed with pain everyday is like groundhog day. You do actually forget how chronic your condition actually is. Good luck to everyone who is going through this I know how anxious this makes you feel but hang on in there - you can do it!!!

Hi Velux,

I think you are the second person we have heard from today who has got into the support group without a medical.

Well done and thank you for sharing your good news with us.

Steve

Velux,

Cograts on gaining a correct award !!!,

Similar to you, my daughter filled in and compiled my ESA50 and file, and keeps revisiting it, to tweak it, and update it. (haven't had to send it yet)

This is the beauty of filling in the online version, you can save it and keep going back to it as you wish.

Then when you print off the final version to post, you have an exact copy stored, which can be updated and used in any future reassessments.

Of course the ESA50 may suffer ammendments in the future, but you will still have the saved version to refer to.

Have you bothered finding out your prognosis, expected review date and on what criteria you were put into support group?.

Anyway at least you need not worry for now, well done !!!.

cheers
