WRAG/MP

I finally received the dreaded brown envelope after a horrible medical on the 21st of June. I should add that the next day, I wrote a letter of complaint to Atos which was copied to my MP.
Ten days later my MP wrote me saying that: she would "write to Atos on my behalf...
So, I took the envelope to my bed to lay down (ha - well, it is where I spend my day) and opened it. I have been awarded the WRAG group. I am hugely relieved but at the same time feel I should be in Support.
As this has been an ordeal which has left me sick everyday, I have decided to not file an appeal. The appointment for my first interview came in the post as well.
I must thank everyone at B&W and many people in the forum who have been a great guide and support to me. I know for certain that it was the advice available here that got me through this and to the WRAG group. I am more grateful than you can imagine.
Please would you let me know where I can find what is next. Check, got the first WRAG interview...So, there are 5 to follow and then...Atos drags you in for another medical???
Is it necessary to have a copy of the medical? Part of me does not want to see it.
1000 thank yous to you all,

Eligibility for ESA is reassessed at intervals, but those intervals vary according to the individual case and are not the same for everyone. Unless they give you a specific date, it's just a question of wait and see. Unfortunately, some of our members have been called in as frequently as once every three months.
You don't have to have a copy of the medical, but you may find it useful in knowing whether there are any points you think you should have scored but didn't for next time's medical.

I really appreciate your informing me of all scenarios...and the worst as well. It is always the way I mentally operate: know of the worst and hope for something better.
I will review those pages as well.
Good point about points scored, or not...I guess I will call for the copy of the medical report.
Thanks again.
Kindest regards,

cmarie,
Glad to hear of your relief, and good advice from Survivor, aswell.
The only thing that I could add, is that requesting copy of your ESA85 ATOS report, would also give you an idea of when your expected review date is (Prognosis). This may help you to prepare again at your own pace.
best wishes

Well done for getting ESA; it's quite understandable if you do not have the energy for an appeal.
Just to add to what Survivor and Bro58 said, obtaining a copy of your ESA85 is vital in case you need to appeal the next decision.
It may not be so important if you have been assessed under the old WCA but if you fail a medical when your condition hasn't changed since the last medical you will want a tribunal to see your previous report.

I got into WRAG after taking it to appeal but the DM reconsidered and put me in WRAG before it got that far.
However, I should also be in Support group so I have continued the appeal.
If you launch an appeal to be in Support then you are not required to attend any 'interviews' with personal advisers.
If you really believe you should be in the Support group then get help and get appealing, do not let 'them' get away with it.
I was in a despair/ashamed period recently and ready to give up but then something clicked thanks to a few positive comments on here and off I went.
best wishes,
Lisa
