Mobility claim turned down

To me it seems sad that you can't have any confidence in the system and that you have to fight for some practical help for long term conditions. Don't think I will rest till I get a positive result. If it isn't good news then it's just endless stress - which I can't face!

if you cant wait for the result ring back the help line tell them your filling in a form for the council and need the amount of dla your on and the end date

That's a very good idea - if I don't hear in the morning I will ring back. I assumed they couldn't give out the info over the phone - or don't because they don't need the aggravation!

hi dawn ring vivien hopkins office first thing in the morning tell them your situation tell them you are going to appeal and see if they will help you ortherwise you will involve your MP tell them that you dont think MR Cameron would be very happy if you had to get him involved on the phone be firm and polite and tell them you dont intend to be messed about let us know what responce you get good luck peter

they cant give you the result but you can ask the question about rates and length of award

Panic over - received my award letter this morning! Same rates as before: Higher Rate: Mobility and Care: Lower Rate but the really good thing is that it's for an indefinite period so I can now arrange suitable transport! The weight has really dropped off my shoulders. Many thanks to Benefits and Work - the DLA guides got me thinking and better prepared for my medical.

I think they are taking the micky with indef awards now PIP is coming in.... or will the fact DLA is Indef hold some weight durring the move to PIP?
