The assessment criteria for PIP are different from those for DLA, so our current understanding is that everyone, who are moved, will be re-assessed (this does not necessarily mean a new medical examination).Dave - I did wonder about that too! Is everything null and void at the switch to PIPS or do all claims where a recent medical/award made are switched straight over without further hassle to the client????

I can't worry about that one - if when they switch over and it affects me I will lobby my MP. My needs will not have changed so if they move the goal posts I will kick up a stink. Simple as!

Hi again only jst got back online have been without computer.Since last msg Peter i have been totally confused by e.s.a.1 letter came to say in support group next day to say am in w.r.a.g??have written a letter to them asking for an explanation as was told by phone 2 wks ago support group-With regards to my D.L.A. appl i appealed by writing them a long letter stating clearly all the points i didnt agree with which was practically everything. They have had that weeks & have now decided to contact my physio & my consultant.Rang to query which cons as have 4.They only named 1 which im not sure will give them all relevant info so watch this space as am expecting to get turned down.If so will do as u suggested & make that phonecall
Dawn welcome back
As you have appealed the decision of your DLA mobility component, I would suggest that you provide all the evidence from your consultants with regards this appeal. In my experience where DLA is concerned, unlike ESA (possibly) the onus is on the claimant to provide adequate supportive evidence.
Kind regards
Michael
