the dla have phoned me back and have just said the decision maker made their decision based on my form and doctors report. he has told me i can ask them to look at it again and send in a diary made over 3/4 days or i can go to appeal - either way they will look at my care again as well.
i really don't know what to do now - it dos'nt matter what i do, i can't get my point across that i have great difficulty walking outside to the point now i don't go out unless my husband takes me in the car:(

Based on earlier posts you have made regards details you have given them about walking I would not risk it... that said you need expert advice from someone knowing all the details in full ... they will be better able to advise you

Know exactly how you feel & you have my sympathy.I spent 3wks fillin in my DLA forms & gettin add evidence to submit.Followed the guides religiously sent it all off-today the brown envelope arrived turned down for both care & mobility.I dont know whose forms they looked at but certainly wasnt mine!!The decision maker has totally disregarded evrething i stated & ignored all add info, inc that from my physio.Ive told them evrethin changed in the last 6mths so what did they do to reach their decision didnt get me to have a new medical oh no lets just use the out of date 1 from last oct!!Idont know it beggars belief.I can they state walk 200 mtr in a reasonable manner er no i cant-I drag my left leg & if i walk 20feet my hip leg foot goes numb & i fall over!!I they state can use a cooker carry & lift & motivate myself-no i cant i cant stand dont have strength in my arms suffer from severe fatigue leading to lack of motivation. The list goes on n on think they only got 1 thing right stated i need help to bath or shower-but this didnt help my case as if i wash what i can reach myself at the sink, altho i stated i have to lie on the bed 4-5 times before i complete this task due to pain fatigue dizzyness etc they say  i dont need help!!!Am i not allowed a shower then??Isuffer from fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, have an add spinal injury, depression, high blood pressure, diabetes, under active thyroid, polycystic ovary syndrome, high cholesterol.Sorry folks have had my litl(long)rant but if like me you feel that a wrong decision has been made then fight for your rights im certainly going to this timexx

I had my ATOS DLA medical last week and the Dr who saw me had no paperwork relating to my case. He didn't even know it was a renewal. He was very helpful and it turned out he worked with my Orthopedic Surgeon and had worked at my local Drs surgery some years ago and knew my GP. I told him all the things I couldn't do anymore and he only wrote down those things! He said I am not interested in what you can do! He said we can help with things like a an "eye level oven" and when leaving said "I will recommend a mobility scooter". I rang the DLA line today to be told my notice was posted yesterday but I still fear that some numpty is going to turn down my claim! To me it seems sad that you can't have any confidence in the system and that you have to fight for some practical help for long term conditions. Don't think I will rest till I get a positive result. If it isn't good news then it's just endless stress - which I can't face! :S
