ATOS ringing to arrange ESA assessment
- bro58
I was asking because my dad needs to take me to the assessment and he's quite elderly and needs to take things slow in the morning. So we wouldn't want an appt before 10am. I was just wondering whether they would insist on an earlier appt than this?
You should make any Reasonable Requests, as to your Dad's limitations, giving reasons, at the earliest opportunity to ATOS.
The more warning you give the better, not saying that they will comply with your request though.
Put it in writing, keep copy.
cheers

Just a couple of quick questions
What times of day might they ring. Is it 9-5 or can they ring in the evening?
Do you get any choice about the time of your assessment?
Is this of any help?. :

ATOS , have been known to ring people at night, and I,m sure they work at least some of the weekend, but don't hold me to that.
Remember they should give you 7 days notice, unless you have agreed to take a cancellation, at short notice.

Correction, of course, it's times like this that I wish I'd used my alterego NONMOD, never mind, I think the above was on a 37 hour clock ??. LOL !!!
Should read,
9AM to 5PM Sat

I've heard of medicals being arranged for Sunday afternoons and even Christmas Eve!
As Bro58 says they have to give at least 7 days notice and you can always tell them if the appointment is not convenient.

I can't remember where I read it (probably on this forum) but I think EMPs that carry out home medicals are left to arrange the medical and therefore could phone from home, outside office hours.

Derek, if that's the case, one could always ask the EMP to stay over for XMAS dinner, only stipulation being, that they bring a bottle, and do the cooking!!!. LOL
