Hi i was talking to my carer about my pending appeal this week.
She asked what do you tell them if your partner is also on benefits/ working/ retied/ or a millionaire is it any of there business do you have to tell them and or does it make a difference in the outcome of the appeal or not,
Thought i would ask as i sure someone on here might want to know the same question,
My husband is retired now hope that dont make any difference ¬

With such little information it is impossible to advise.
Perhaps contacting your CAB might prove helpful on a one to one basis.

Hi Jacqui

I think tribunals want to have a general picture of an appellants life and circumstances, so even if the occupation of the partner is not directly relevant to the appeal, they may still ask.

Unless the appeal is about whether you satisfy the basic requirements to qualify for the benefit as opposed to having the required level of disability to receive an award, the occupation of you partner is not likely to have much impact on the decision, but you may nevertheless be asked.

Regards

Derek
