Query about letter requesting report

Hi

I have saved the letter from this site requesting the medical report. I am not quite sure,but do I take this with me when I have my medical on the 12th Aug? To hand in to the receptionist at the end? I don't want to rub them up the wrong way or anything and can you request a copy on the day of the medical? I didn't know this.

You can ask for it at the medical, but we've had feedback from members that this isn't successful, because the HCP will say that they need time to write it up. This doesn't mean that you shouldn't try.

However, if you don't get a copy of the report then, do request it after you've had the Decision Maker's decision, whether it goes for you or against you.

I can't find the reference to requesting your medical report at the end of the examination, but my unferstanding is that this is now out of date.

Your medical report will be available to request from your local DWP office, after a Decision on your claim has been made. You can apply by letter, but it is usually possible to make the request over the phone.

The letter is in the Incapacity for Work Briefs.

As it refers to IB, you have correctly identified that it is now out-of-date. It could conceivably be amended for ESA purposes, but I think it would be met with the response from the ADA as observed in Survivor's post.

Thanks for the reply. I will ask at the assessment and if it's not possible for them to hand me the report there and then,I will phone the DWP.
