Query from ESA medical leaflet

"You may notice people who arrive after you being called to their assessment before you are. This is because different healthcare professionals do different types of assessment"
So are there, for instance, HCPs who specialise in assessing claimants with mental health issues? I re-arranged my appointment and was thinking that maybe the original appointment was made specifically with an HCP who specialised in my sort of problems and now I might get someone less appropriate at the re-arranged appointment.

They will use certain resources in preference to others, so for example I know you get a "doctor" for MS but only a "nurse" for ME/CFS.In the leaflet sent with my ESA medical appointment letter it says:

If you have a specific disorder, you can request an appropriately trained assessor, but they are not obliged to provide one.
Certainly a mental health conditiom would be reason for making a request, but ultimately the standard ATOS response is that all of their staff are trained in disability assessment.
