I'm considering my 3rd attempt for DLA. My GP has already offered to supply a letter of support, and I have letters from three of my consultants outlining my medical diagnosis and problems. These will all be dated between Jan to Aug of this year. However, I have a report from a specialist OT dated from late 2009 that outlined all my care needs, which have not changed. I wont be able to get another report from this unit, so it's a one off.
Will this OT report dated 2009 be of positive use or an hindrance due to it's age ? It's a very substantial and detailed report that caused some controversy during my last DLA application, as the DWP DM deemed it a forged document (long story, but my GP and the hospital backed up the validity of the report).
If you can also supply evidence that there has been no improvement in your condition or in your ability to manage your care and mobility needs since the OT report was written then it seems reasonable to ask for it to be taken into account.
