DLA appeal won!!!!! was created by phil17
Yes, I won my appeal on 19 May 2011, the appeals service were prompt in sending me the result by post (unannimus result) However to date I have not had any communication from the DWP.
I have phoned and spoken to them on three occasions and was told they had not received a notification of the appeal result from the appeals service. On the second call to them they asked me to contact the appeals service to chase up the notification. this I did and was told they had sent it to the DLA on the day of the appeal. I again phoned the DLA on Friday 5th July 11, again they told me they had not received the notifiacation document, I asked to speak to a manager who called me back later that same day and was assured I would get a call later that day or within the next four days by post. To date I'M STILL WAITING. I will update you soon.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Phil
It often seems to take appeal decisions an inordinate amount of time to make their way through the DWP mail system but this has to be a record.
Is there any way that you can fax a copy of your letter to the office in question? It may be possible to do it from a JCP office, but I think you will need an appoinmtment to do so.
Unfortunately, until they have a copy, nothing will happen with your case.

I think when you keep hitting the brick wall that all communications with the DWP pass through, the best option is to ask your MP to contact them on your behalf.

Hello Phil,
I had the same problem last year, they had not received notification etc etc. In the end it took 8 weeks before the money reached my account but at least it got there in the end. So I am sure you will see yours soon.
Good luck and kind regards
Sue
