(I also sent a copy to DWP a week later even though I said originally that I wasn't going to do it, and i'm worried that it may have some bearing!)

I sent my ESA form back to ATOS nearly 5 weeks ago and i've not heard anything since. I don't know if I should be worrying or not? It's just that last autumn I had sent my ESA form in and had a medical by 5 weeks. I'm still being paid ESA (but next payment's not due until 10 days time). I really don't want to phone or write to ATOS or DWP! Is this time frame still within the 'normal' (although I appreciate there is no 'normal').

Hi MG,
Did you send your ESA50 back to ATOS and DWP, by recorded delivery?.
If so did you track it ,are you sure it reached them before the deadline date?.
If so and you are sure that they had it by deadline, I would not worry, as the initiative is on them to let you know of the outcome.
If you are still concerned, your only other option is to contact them to confirm receipt.
cheers

I did sent it by recorded and they did get it. I'm just a worrier and very anxious, and I can't concentrate on anything else until I hear from them. I think they're making me wait longer because they know it exacerbates my illness!
It's also affecting my spelling because I noticed I put 'head' instead of 'heard' in the subject!!!lol

MG,
If you have this evidence that they have received it try not to worry.
There does seem to be a trend lately, of the process taking longer, there probably (Hopefully) bogged down.
As I say though if you are still worried the only alternative is to contact them to confirm receipt.
Re you spelling, I'll excuse you, I did something similar recently, I wrote HEAD, instead of HEED.
cheers
