"set aside" vs adjournment

I found "resubmit the appeal within one month" i think they really mean submit rather than resubmit. Resubmit sounds as if your sending off the same information/evidence twice. Have i got this righr?

Is it recommended to use appeal form GL24 to set aside or type up a letter?

A letter setting out the full reasons for setting aside should suffice. Form GL24 is mainly used for Appeals.

Yes I have. It was a paper hearing on August 9. The extra evidence i posted (recorded signed for) got to the Tribunal Service the day before the hearing.

A couple of days after the hearing they sent me a brown envelope. I've read through the first 3 pages from inside the brown envelope.

Just got to read that final page with the actual decision yet!

Whether you apply for the decision to be set aside or proceed to an appeal will inevitably depend on the decision of the FT tribunal.

For a decision to be set aside, anyone connected to the appeal can ask for the FT tribunal's decision to be set aside. If a decision is set aside, the new appeal will be heard by another tribunal.

A legally qualified panel member can set a tribunal decision aside if it appears right to do so for the following reasons.

A document was not sent to:

* the person who appealed, or their representative

* any other person included in the appeal or their representative

* the FT tribunal.

* a person connected with the appeal (or their representative) was not at the oral hearing.

There is a one month time limit to apply for a decision made by a tribunal to be set aside.

The month starts on the date that the tribunal's decision or a statement of reasons for the tribunal's decision was given or sent. Any application for a tribunal's decision to be set aside is sent to everyone involved in the appeal so they can comment on it. Those people connected to the appeal are also all told about the outcome of the application.
