E.S.A. claim was created by apple999
I have been placed in the work related activity group of the E.S.A. allowance. I was happy until I realised that the have placed me in the contributions based catagory, therefore I have lost lots of cash. Why can I not claim for income-related E.S.A. Not for another 28 weeks anyway?
Prior to this claim I have been in receipt of J.S.A. for one year. Before that I received E.S.A. (basic rate for 1 year whilst I awaited a tribunal decision which I lost).

So at present I will receive £94.25 per week. No enhancement for disability or enhanced disability. (I am receiving the middle rate care component and upper rate mobility rate of D.L.A.) I am awarded £347.76 arrears only.( my application went in on 4th February 2011)

I hoped to receive income related E.S.A. around £100 per week of back pay ( 4th February 2011) and disability enhancements!

Are the D.W.P. correct?

Hi,

I'm afraid this is not a question we could answer without knowing all your financial circumstances. You really need to get face-to-face advice.
