Advise on ESA appeal was created by bittersweet
Hi,
I've been placed in WRAG and I intend to appeal to see if I can be placed in the support group.
Does anyone know if I still have to attend the WFI while appealing?
Also, in the decision letter it states that I may have to attend a work focused health related assessment with a health care professional. This is the first I've heard about this, could anybody advise me about this please?
Thanks

Hi BS,
With regard to WFI's, we have heard from members who have been told that they do not have to attend WFI's while appealing WRAG to Support, but this seems to vary from benefits office to office.
We can't find any regs to cover this, but may be worth querying it.
As for WFHRA, these have been suspended until July 2012.
cheers

A friend spoke to the DWP this morning on my behalf and I've been told I still have to attend WFI even if I appeal.
