would they use the fact that I can use a mobility scooter once a week to say I can Mobilise more than the less than 50m I can do with my walker with seat [sitting to rest a few times to do it]? wracking what is left of my brain to figure out how they can figure I'm in WRAG just on the first question/descriptor alone

Hi LT,

With respect to you using a mobility scooter once a week, with regard to the mobilising descriptor (50m).

If it is a motorised scooter, it does not count as the "virtual wheelchair" is a manual one, and the claimant must be able to use it unaided, ie, no one pushing it. So a motorised wheelchair does not count either.

Also remember, the Repeatedly, Reliably, and Safely aspect in being able to carry out any actions.

Of course ability to sit for periods should be addressed here, and also transfering from one seated position to another next to each other unaided, also.

hope this helps
