fee waiver was created by margox
hi does anyone know about esa as a qualifying benefit for fee waiver for college course? apparently Jsa only counts if income based and not contribution based and wondered if same for Esa.

Hi M,

There is also two types of ESA, Contributory, and Income Related.

some courses and some councils these days .. our local FE college has listed courses (popular ones ) where they wont discount, this is due to funding cuts and the ones they know people will pay full wack they dont even allow people to have a discount be it OAP or ESA :angry: which is daft as some of the now no discount courses would help people back to work

Hi Dave, I think you're right, although if it's DWP, shouldn't it be the same all over the country?

esa is paid by the DWP courses supplied localy are paid for by council tax in that area the local education department run the courses very few courses are run by all councils apart from basic maths and english and english spoken as second language course
