Moving house triggers ESA migration??? was created by leapoffaith
Hello..
I was needed to move house just oover a year ago when my landlord sold his house... I am now living in a terrible situation... I am miles away from family & friends & my new GP is very distant... I do have a good neuro-psych...I am relapsing very quickly now... I have chronic epilepsy, vertigo & chronic anxiety & depression amongst other stuff which is just spiralling as i await constant reviews...
My problem is that i have gone back int limbo & become paralysed... i stopped eating, am very weak & hard to walk & all this affects how i cam manage...
I need to be closer to friends or family as i don't think i can survive this relapse alone... i feel so exhausted...
Does anyone have an opinion on wether moving will bring on an early review??
i am just hiding away totally isolated getting irrational & delusional again because i am so afraid... If i move iwill have better chance of improving my health but to move & then be migrated will i think push me over the edge... if i stay here hiding i can't go on like this...
Has anyone moved house & then been called for WCA straight away??
thankyou..

Hi,

It is impossible to say if moving may (and I emphasises the may) result in an earlier or later transfer to ESA. It depends I suppose on factors such as, for example the workload and practice of the office then dealing with your claim as to when you will be migrated no matter where you live.

Sorry I cannot advise further but you are rather asking the impossible.

I can't recall ever seeing a post on here to the effect that moving house would trigger a WCA. On the other hand, if you are on IB, then I suppose that in theory this could move you into a different area where they are progressing the migration process differently and find your migration earlier than otherwise, but since that's pretty unpredictable anyway, it could go either way.

I think that it would make sense to me when you tell them that you are moving to make it clear whether this is, or rather in your case is not, because you are improving.

Also, if you are on DLA as well, don't forget to let that part of the DWP know and again don't just say that you are moving, say whether it will affect your care and/or mobility needs.

I don't know if this will help you with your decision, but a friend of mine moved house about 6 months ago. She has been on IB for 19 years and was also concerned that a move might trigger an early ESA transfer. So far she has not heard anything, so we are assuming that it didn't

Don't forget that you could stay where you are and still get migrated. At least, once you have moved, you will have more support to deal with the migration, whenever it comes.
