I've been moved from IB to ESA work-related activity group but I submitted an appeal believing I should be in the support group. Before I sent my appeal off (30th August) I received a letter regarding a work-focussed interview at my local Jobcentre Plus. Do I need to attend or do I ring them and tell them I'm in the process of appealing (award letter dated 4th August, interview letter 26th August)?
You are required to attend the interview unless you get (written) permission not to.
You could phone your local JCP office, tell them you are appealing and ask if the interviews can be deferred until the outcome of the appeal - some offices do this automatically.
On the other hand, they may insist you attend the first interview with JCP and delay the subsequent interviews with a provider whilst you are appealing.
