Does anyone know how long it takes to get a decision after an esa medical. I had my second medical 8wks ago and still have not had the decision, i phoned the dwp 2wks ago because it was playing on my mind so much but they just said there must be a backlog and your money is still being put into the bank. This is the second medical i have had but i had the decision 2wks after the 1st one. Has enyone else had to wait so long for their decision, please advise as im really worried.

With the IB to ESA migration now in full swing, in some areas of the country it seems to have slowed things down considerably. I do know of some claimants waiting 12 to 15 weeks in your position.
Sorry we cannot offer anything further other than perhaps chasing up your claim with the office which is dealing with it.
At least you are still being paid which is perhaps a more positive way of looking at it.
