Confirming receipt of DLA form?

How long should it take for the DWP to send out a letter confirming receipt of a DLA form?

The DWP confirmed it was received over the phone. But I thought you also got a letter ?


It was sent by RD, but as usual not signed for.

When I sent in DLA form for review it took over 2 weeks but was dated a couple of days after they got it

Hi Doris.

I sent in a claim and received a reply six days later telling me they received it, (no phone call).

I then received a letter two weeks later to explain that they couldn't give a decision as they have requested a report from my GP.

That was six weeks ago, and I am still waiting.

Just received another letter typed out six days ago, apologising for their inability to give a decision. No reason given.

10 minutes after I submitted this post, the letter dropped through my letterbox confirming they had received the form
