CV information was created by celt34
I was wondering if I appied for a job do I have to tell them I have been on Incapacity Benefit and must I put this on my Curriculum Vitae I send to them?
I'm not ready to go back to work yet but was preparing a CV, and this is a question it raised.
many thanks

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

I do not believe there is a requirement for you to include this on your CV, but if asked you would need to account for any "holes" in your employment history.I was wondering if I appied for a job do I have to tell them I have been on Incapacity Benefit and must I put this on my Curriculum Vitae I send to them?

Hi,
C34, the only advice that I could give is answer the question truthfully.
If you did not, and any untruths where found out at a later date, this could lead to dismissal.
It's your choice at the end of the day.
cheers

C34,
There is a difference between not volunteering information if you not asked to, and answering a specific question falsely.

You would not put it on CV , but you would of course have gaps on work record on job application form
BUT they can only ask about the illness or disability IF it's relevant to the job,
If not and they ask its breaking the law
