medical day was created by darrenay
hi everybody,
finally had my medical for esa today, the first 1 was cancelled. i stumbled into the waiting room , with my partners help, only 2 other people in there i was shocked it was a 3 o/clock appointment so must have been a good time to have?. i only waited 15 minutes before being seen ( i was absolutely dreading it )i was told that they had to get in a neurology specialist for me. i was walked into the room where she would see me, i was told to stand sit or rest on the couch whichever i was most comfortable with, the assesment was not like i thought it would be, she seemed very nice and caring and she was quite worried about my spinal damage and even told my partner to get some help from a district nurse to teach her how to lift me properly so that she does not injure herself. she also told us to get some help from the carers service.
i just hope that the neurologist was genuine with her concern for me and that it was not acting. she told us that if i had seen the physio i would have been treated rougher and she would not know how to deal with my severe problems corectly. she asked a few qustions about how i got there. and how my aveage day would be, but she was more interesed in my spine and its problems, i have a lot of other problems as well
i just thought i would let you know how my assesment went and how nicely we were treated. we will just hope she was genuine and hope the outcome will be the correct decision, going by all the descriptors i should be in the support group but it would seem very unlikeley going by what has happened to other members on this site. we will just keep our fingers crossed for the outcome and i will let you know what happens. i was thinking that i would have a bad experence, but i did not, good on atos for making at least 1 esa'er at ease with there assesment.
sorry for the long post
Sorry DD I have had to edit one line of your post re ATOS.

Hi,
As moderators we are not legal specialists so speculation as to any question of legality cannot be answered on the forum.
Unless the op can state for definite who may/maynot have followed whom, I do not think speculation carries any value.
Therefore to protect the site from protracted conversation on these points this thread is now locked.
