Do I still need to send in sicknotes? was created by Sickofit
I have recently been placed in the WRAG. Does this mean that I no longer have to get Medical Certificates from my GP to send to the DWP?

Hi,
Once a decision has been made to award ESA (either in the WRAG or Support Group) then GP issued Medical Certificates (sick notes/fit notes) are no longer required.
It should explain this in your award letter.

Thanks very much, Pete, for your quick reply. That's one less problem to worry about. Cheers!

I had been on ESA Support Group for 6 months without a GP sick note which I was told at my first medical but after 6 months past and I was still in the support group I was called for another medical and from then on I had to supply a GP Fit Note.

Did you fail this latest medical as that would normally be the only reason why you would have to supply Fit Notes?I had been on ESA Support Group for 6 months without a GP sick note which I was told at my first medical but after 6 months past and I was still in the support group I was called for another medical and from then on I had to supply a GP Fit Note.
