I'm afraid not. To be put into the Support Group you need to meet one or more of the SG criteria. Scoring 15 points will place you into the WRAG. Whether you have to attend a medical will depend on whether you have provided sufficient information for a Decision to be made without one being held.

I get the fact that you automaticaly qualify for the support group with certain conditions.

There are very limited circumstances where you can automatically qualify for the Support Group. These are covered on page 23 of the Understanding ESA guide.

Its just from reading yesterday I would have thought that those cases I looked at would have easily scored 15 points or more but oviously didnt, and ive been wondering why on earth not.

One chap even submitted medical evidence from a Psychiatrist which more or less said he'd be flabbergasted if this person was ever fit enought to work again but faild the support group!!!

hence my intial question, what does it take to score an honest 15 mark?.

Unfortunately, never being Fit for Work again, does not mean that you should be in the Support Group.

Scoring a total of 15 points can be achieved, with a good explanation of how you are affected by your conditions, and good supporting evidence.

Scoring 15 points for a single test, is as you would expect, more difficult, but can still be achieved for most of the tests, if you can show that you meet the necessary criteria.

Make sure you read and understand the guides for those tests that you believe you should score points for, and just be honest when you fill the form in.,

If That was to be the case and I did make the wrag group am I right in thinking from when I go into that group I have just one year on protetected benefit relalated to contributions and then I am assesed again on income?, which would be a disaster for me as I have a occuptional pension, which would probably rule me out on a means test.

Am I thinking correctly here. ?.
