After 8 weeks I have today heard th result of my DLA application - I have been awarded HRM and MRC for 2 years!

I am totally gobsmacked as I have heard so many horror stories. Many thanks to this site (and my CAB adviser) for all the help with filling out the application forms.

Typically, I have just taxed my car for 1 year (but I know that I can sort that out)!

Hi MHB,

Congratulations and well done on gaining your DLA awards. :)

Thanks for letting us know, and for your kind comments.

As you probably know, you should be able to get a refund on your road tax, for any full months. :)

cheers

bro58.

Eight weeks is a long time to have to wait! Thanks for letting me know Mrs Hurtyback. I wonder how long after they received your claim did they contact your consultant? My problem is that my consultant's appointment was approx 10 days after the from had to be in (it was meant to be before that but the consultant cancelled)so I hope they didn't write to him before the 10 days because there would be nothing to tell! I've not had any letters from them yet (no news is good news!)

It was several weeks befoe I was told they were contacting my consultant.

I had my decision today - HRM and MRC for 2 years!

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
