Was wondering would reports that were 5 years old or longer be accepted as part of ones claim/appeal, as my husband had seen many specialists over the years, but has been discharged years ago as nothing more could be done.
Any advise or experiences will be much appreciated.

Hi radhika
I'm not sure which benefit you are referring to in respect of your husband's both claim and appeal.
It may be appropriate to get up to date evidence, possibly forom your husband's GP, that 5 years ago your husband was told, nothing further could be done. Then you could submit the old reports to back this up.
Your husband will not need to appeal, should his claim be successful of course, unless he is dissatisfied with the award, although there are dangers in challenging an award.
May I suggest that you read through the B&W guides regarding your husband's benefit, which will give you the best possible help. They are in the orange Members Only section.
Regards
Michael
