SHOULD I BE SENDING IN A SICK NOTE

After having her medical assessment
My wife received a letter last week from esa telling her that her claim has failed and she is fit for work.
She had an operation on her shoulder at the beginning of the year which has been unsuccessful and she has an oppointment next week with the consultant, who is almost certainly going to tell her that they are going to operate again.
Meanwhile she has got a 28days sick note from her gp.
Does she send this information to the dwp or proceed with her appeal.
Any advice would be grateful.

Thanks pbs

If your wife intends to appeal the Decision or ask for a Reconsideration, she will need to provide Fit notes, however, there is no point sending one in until you have requested one of the above.

See the following FAQs.

How long do I have to appeal?
