Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Anyone with a terminal illness and expected to live for no more than 6 months should go into the support group under the 'exceptional circumstances' rule. People in the SG do not have to participate in any work related scheme. I don't know whether people with a prognosis of more than 6 months and in the WRAG will be treated any differently to anyone else.

Just so people know I am talking about "back to work prognosis", not life/terminal illness prognosis.
