hi i have just joined your site i had my assesment booked for the 26th of october but after reading on your site about being able to have it recorded i rang them and requested this but was told recording equipment was not available for then so they have cancelled it and will contact me again with another date when equipment is available. Also can you tell me if they use any information about your health problems they already had from claiming IB which i have been recieving for approx 10 years.thankyou

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Welcome to Benefits and Work
As you have been called to ab assessment, the Decision will be primarily based on your ESA50, the evidence attached and the results of the Work Capability Assessment.
If you have not done so already, I would have a look at our ESA Claim guides, it may be too late regarding your ESA50 but they may help you give more detailed answers at the assessment.

A statement of fact from your carer could well help your situation. Your daughter would need to say how she knows the things she is saying and also show how you meet the appropriate descriptors.

Many of the questions asked at the assessment are intended to allow the ATOS "doctor" to draw conclusions from the answer you give, for example the "what do you watch on the TV?"; replying with Eastenders, would imply that you have good attention and can sit for at least half an hour.
There is no definitive list of questions, but the links in the following FAQ will give you an idea of some of the questions asked.
