Can DWP access your medical records?

Does the DWP have a right to access medical records held by your GP or a hospital?

I seem to recall that there is a box somewhere where you give them the right to request medical records but maybe I'm mixing this up with another organisation's form.

Hi F,

Yes this is in the ESA50 : Using The PDF Version Of The ESA50 Questionnaire

However, they seldom do so, the most that they "may" do is send an : ESA 113 Questionnaire to your G.P.

This is why it is important to include as much evidence as possible along with your ESA50.
