Hi J,

I have merged your post with your topic from 5 months ago.

I am afraid that the information that we gave gave you then, still stands.

If you now think that you should be in The SG due to a deterioration or change in your condition since the time of the original WRAG award, you could not reinstate your appeal based on this deterioration, as an appeal will only re-look at how you were at the time of the adverse WRAG award, and not at any time since then.

You would need to request a review/supersession in writing to The DWP.

This would involve you providing fresh evidence to prove the deterioration or change in your condition, and how you now fulfill at least one of the qualifying SG Descriptors. :

Qualifying for the Support Group

If you feel that you should have been placed into The SG at the time of the original WRAG award, disregarding any deterioration/change since then, you could try for a late appeal.

If however, 13 months or more have elapsed since the date of the original letter telling you that you were in The WRAG, then a late appeal will not be allowed under any circumstances.

It is covered in the GL24 which can be downloaded from the link on this page. :

How to submit an appeal

Hi J,

It would seem from Gordon's advice 5 months ago :

"It is possible to re-instate a previous appeal, but there is a time limit, which I think is 2 weeks, however, you lose nothing by contacting the Tribunal Service to see whether it can be done, you will need the TS reference number which should be on any previous correspondence you have had from them."

That you are too late for a reinstatement, that leaves you with the late appeal option, (if still within 13 months) or a written request for a review/supersession due to a change/deterioration in your condition.
