- Clarification on ESA Sanctions desperately needed.
Clarification on ESA Sanctions desperately needed.

So having been placed in WRAG I await the 6 interviews during the coming year of ESA CB.
Ive read the information pages on Sanctions and also the WRAG advice page.
Its me intention to decline to attend any of the interviews.
Please can you advise the best way to tell The DWP?
As a result I expect the ESA to be "Sanctioned"starting from the date of 1st refusal.
This means the living component will be withdrawn (71 Pounds per week).
Because my current IB-ESA rates are already" too high"for full Housing benefit Award the HB will then increase by c.20 pounds per week, following the drop in ESA income to its maximum allowable thus bringing Sanctioned income up to about 61 pounds per week not far off JSA.
This I can live with but dont want the stress of ESA interviews extra meetings phone calls medicals attempts at training work placements etc.
Thus in return for Sanctioned ESA I expect to get my NI contributions still paid and be left alone for a year by the Job Centre DWP.
Is all this a big mistake please?
Is this strategy correct?
Lastly the big question it states that 4 weeks Sanctions are additionally added in month 12 of ESA CB does this mean loss of ALL the ESA for that month or just the 71 pounds living component?
To qualify for this penalty you have to have not attended at least 2 WFIs.But as I said I hope not to attend 6!Where does this place me.
Can they do anything else?
Will they just keep back 4 weeks money at the end?
It seems surprising that all this is an option I do hope its right? After 1 year will worry then about ESA IR
Thank You in advance for your clarification and help,

I am sorry but I really do no feel comfortable giving you a definitive answer to your questions especially as you will be making decisions on what I say, you need to get face to face advice to ensure that there are no implications to what you are thinking of doing that I am unaware of.
Where to get advice?

Maybe we could just restrict it to the question about the 4 weeks additional sanctions?
ie if a claimant does fail attend more than 2 WFIs they get 4 weeks taken off its says on your advice page under sanctions.
But its not clear if this is 4 weeks total money full ESA or just
a further 4 weeks of Sanctioned eg 50% ESA
?
I guess info will become more available as time goes on and people do this sort of thing?

As I understand it you would be sanctioned for a further four weeks, once the outstanding actions had been met, however, as you intend not to meet the actions, the sanction will remain in place indefinitely.
