Dear team just got the brown envelope after two white ones stating they were still making a decision. I cannot believe my eyes! high rate care and mobility indefinitely without an atos medical. It state they had enough medical information to come to this decision.
For four years Ive received the lowest of both components despite my conditions becoming much worse, to be honest I was afraid of going under their radar for fear of losing it all.
This now opens up opportunity of respite for my partner ho works compacted hours full time and cares for me and also I can get the powerchair I so need.
I would have been happy just to have it renewed without a medical at the same rate but really over the moon at this.
I know without your guides and the members advise the outcome would have been very different.
The new system seems worse than the last and I am somewhat bemused that I wasn't forced over to pip as expected. It appears its as open to abuse as all the other systems were judging by some recent television programmes. I do not know h ow some could blatantly abuse a system for the countries most vulnerable and get away with it while i know countless genuine people have had their claims dismissed!
Those of you who haven't had recognition of your disability please don't give up and keep fighting! Don't do it alone, if cab cant help keep looking till you find someone who will, these people on here really care.

Hi,
If your forum name is also your real name, you may wish to change it to maintain some anonymity.
This can be done quite easily by following the instructions on this FAQ :
My full name is showing, how can I stop it?
Congratulations on The HR DLA Awards !!!
That is really good news !!!
Thank you very much for your kind words regarding "all" at B&W, they are much appreciated.
DLA recipients on fixed term awards coming to an end and those reporting a Change in Circumstances were by now supposed to be invited to claim PIP, nationally.
However, PIP is in such a shambles that there are still some geographical areas that do not have natural reassessment to PIP.
The Government state that all current DLA recipients with Indefinite Awards will be invited to claim PIP, "Sometime after October 2015" running until 2018.
However, with the huge backlogs, and a General Election looming, "who knows ?"
I try not to take these "poverty porn" TV programmes seriously. The amount of claimant's actually "fiddling" the system, especially with Sickness/Disability Benefits is minimal.
This Government has used smoke, mirrors and propaganda to fuel anti-welfare opinion.
IDS and his cohorts have been caught out on many, many occasions using false figures and statistics.
Here is one example below on a rightsnet post, of how he tried to justify the change over from DLA to PIP :
