Hi All

Just an update on Appeal

We recvd the HMCTS decision notice in post ~ 7 days after the hearing.
the Paperwork states that if i want a Stm of reasons i need to put the request in writing in post .

26 Sept I got onto the HMCTS webchat to ask for the correct email to make my request.

6 Oct i followed up on webchat to make sure my request was being dealt with. I was told the request has been passed onto the judge.

For the record of proceedings there was a bit of 'to and fro ' bec of incorrect guidance by previous advisors and a technical glitch with the HNCTS portal.
eventually i was able to access the hearing case online and download both decision notice and record of proceeding mp3 file.

Hope thats useful to someone at post appeal stage

Record of Proceedings

I listened to the record of proceedings ... audio file only

Quality of recording was very good . I was curious to know if the deliberations of camera had been recorded , but ofc not lol . the part where the panel came back online to tell us their decision on the length of the award wasnt included in the recording.

I other thing was listening back to the questions and my answers again was interesting. i didnt understand or listen to the questions properly tbh ... i went off in tangents !!! my son said this to me after the hearing, but i didnt get it.

In our case the decision was based on the paper bundle not my answers i believe , but Stm of reasons will clarify that i hope.

Anyhow remember to take your time , tell the judge if you dont understand the question or ask for them to repeat it or rephrase it.

Hope thats useful.
