Here is a possible way to find out if your PIP award has been extended

Hi there,

It’s been a while since i have been here again, but i received a letter in the post on Saturday from the DWP informing me that my PIP (enhanced for both) has been extended until May 2030, which is an extension of 2 years. The letter also says that it may be extended in the future.

Obviously, i am thrilled to have received this information, as for everyone else here the review process is horrific. I would not be able to survive it without this invaluable website and forum.

Unfortunately, i have suffered discrimination whilst trying to study for an MSc due to having to endure my last review. The university staff members had no empathy whatsoever for what we have to endure as disabled people.

Kindest regards,
Michala

Hi Michala

I'm glad that you have an extension and can put all thoughts of an assessment aside for a while.

Hi bonesticks

There appears to be a delay of a couple of weeks between the online update and the letter being sent out.

Hi Michaela. Contact Student Services. They should have a Disability Service. Also get the NUS onside.
Good luck.
