Whilst there are similarities between PIP and DLA there are also considerable differences in the way that claimants are tested, it is unfortunately all to possible for someone to be entitled to DLA and not to PIP. The primary goal for PIP is to reduce the current disability budget by at least 20%.

I don't know whether Gordon is in the process of responding to this post, it may have crossed.
I am afraid that this will not be advantageous to your PIP Claim.
PIP and DLA have differing qualifying criteria.
e.g. PIP is points based, DLA was not.
Even the appeals process has changed since the end of October 2013.
