An update. rang again today and they wanted proff of mum and dad being on DLA. They could have just asked that ages ago!! I assume if I hadn't rang I still wouldn't have it sorted. For anyone in a similar situation put their national insurance numbers on the form. It didn't say to do this and that's what they needed. Anyway, I gave them the info over the phone and it's all sorted and I've been awarded it.
