Result of written appeal was created by Mary
After my mandatory reconsideration was rejected I completed a written appeal via HM Courts & Tribunal Service. I chose not to attend in person and stated that I would not be attending as I considered that to do so would be detrimental to my physical and mental well being.
The result came this morning and my appeal has been upheld. So I now have the enhanced rate of mobility!
I quote:-
By reason of cerebral palsy Mrs Shaw is significantly limited, in particular as set out above.
As a result Mrs Shaw qualifies for the above award of PIP. In reaching its decision the Tribunal placed particular reliance upon the evidence of the healthcare professional and the appellant".
The decision was made by a Judge a Doctor and a lay person.
Delighted doesn't come close.
Thanks for the guides and moral support. Mary xxxx

Many congratulations on the result.
It usually takes the DWP 5-8 weeks to process a Tribunal result, it might help speed things if you check with the DWP that they have received the Decision Notice.

Well done, Mary!
It's really heartening to read other people's success stories. I won my PIP appeal (appearing in person) and am now helping a friend to go through PIP MR and subsequent appeal.
