Hi sc, when as Catherine says you have studied the members' guides info, if you have the slightest doubt of having clear evidence eg doctors' letters for every descriptor for which you think your relative can get points, please consider trying to do a diary. These seem often to carry a lot of weight as evidence. There are templates on here or you can make your own. If your relative is able to do their own, fine. If not, like our daughter, you or someone else can do it. I made a point of trying to call or text her most days in the few weeks before doing the form. Then I went back through my phone and logged each attempt in the first column with date, response if any in the next column and comments in the last. Things like, "this is her normal chatty self for the first time since [date three weeks previous]" or "no reply for ten days running, shows her depression and CFS are affecting her badly as if she was well she would reply" "her reply shows she is anxious about xxx"
Hope this is useful, Denby
