I had a knee replacement in January 2017. The occupational therapist at the hospital told me that I was not entitled to the 6 weeks care a t home. Hmmm! Thought that she was being a bit remiss. I did go and stay with my son for a week, who lives a long way from me. Went home after a week and managed to get a council occupational therapist to come and see me at home. He did arrange for stair rails and a perching stool and some other aids. In fact he told me that the hospital occupational therapist was not doing her job properly. So this link is very useful indeed! Good to know.
