Hi TM
Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ
My full name is showing, how can I stop it?
Unfortunately we come across this situation quite often on the forum where members win their Tribunal case but dont get a reminder to reclaim before their PIP claim runs out. It is a contentious issue, I believe a welfare rights organisation are going to go for a judicial review on the issue.
You may want to get your MP involved to expedite your claim, have you been in contact with a welfare rights organisation in your area for help? You can find your local Welfare Rights Worker to help you with benefit entitlements by clicking on the link below and putting in your post code, it will then come up with a MAP with a list of agencies.

Hi Themac
You are not alone, unfortunately we frequently hear the same story. As stated in my original post, depending on how proactive your MP is you could ask them to intervene and get your case assessed quicker.
From your post I am just checking as to what stage you are at, you state that you were told ' it’s still with the decision maker for assessment ', the decision maker does not do the assessments, the assessors do the assessments, once an assessment is done it is sent to the decision maker to make a decision.
If you have had an assessment then you can ask for a copy of the assessors report called (PA4), usually you can ask after 48 hrs after the assessment.

Hi Themac
The best time to call DWP is first thing in the morning when they open at 8.00 am. We have had quite a few members informing us that they did not have to wait on the phone too long.
